Pickleball Course Outline

Class Introduction:
This class is designed to teach students the basics for pickle-ball. The students will learn the basics for eye-hand coordination to placement of the ball and teamwork. We will be covering this unit over a period of time to allow students to be successful.

Equipment:
-wiffle balls
-pickleball paddles
-Net
-hard surface floor

Learning Objectives for students:
Demonstrate good eye hand coordination with ball and paddle.
Demonstrate improvement in form and balance.
Demonstrate skills in forehand and backhand.
Participate and complete all activities.

Assessments:
Students will be graded on:
-Attendance (20%)
-Tests (10%)
-Participation (50%)
Improvements (20%)

Grades

A= 90-100%
B= 80-89%
C= 70-79%
D= 60-69%
F= 59% and below
